Varietal Breakdown

90% Albariño, 5% Caiño Blanco, and 5% Loureiro.

 

Tasting Notes

Yellow with green reflections; clean and brilliant. On the nose it reveals its elegance, with an intense perfume of aromatic flowers (gardenia and roses) complemented by bay leaf, stone fruit (peaches and plums) and strong balsamic perfume notes. On the palate it shows great volume, floral in character, mineral, vibrant and savory with a long intense finish.

 

Grape Origin

Own vineyards (8 hectares) and leased vineyards under own control and management.

 

Soils

Mainly granite, some properties have schist and slate.

 

Elaboration

Rigorous control vineyard with manual harvest in 15 kg crates. Immediately transport to the winery where the grapes are chilled to 5°C in a refrigerated chamber. Hand selected on a vibratory table. De-stemmed and skin-soaked then proceed to pneumatic pressing for 1.5 hours. Separation of juices followed by static racking fermentation at controlled temperature. Aging on fine lees from minimum of 5 months. Stabilization in stainless steel vaults until the optimum maturity is reached and then bottled.
