Small boutique winery from La Horra, Burgos. With more than 80 years old vines in this plot is rich in history. Altos del Terral is located in the northern Spain, with north-south exposure, at an altitude of 3,000 feet. Wind currents favor their land and help protect them from the typical illness in that area.
Using one hundred percent Tempranillo grapes and indigenous yeast they are able to produce their classical wines. Since 2009 they developed the Tempranillo separately in two plots: one clayey and the other grittier. Cuvee Julia is created a complex tannic wine from the more austere plot and is only released on exceptional years. Their fine and elegant T1 wine uses only grapes from the richer and cool clay soil.
