This is one of the most ambitious projects in modern Ribeiro, started twenty years ago by José and Javier González. Their purpose was to relive the ancient fame of the appellation, by unearthing the steep vineyards that the previous generations abandoned, in the steep slopes of the Avia Valley. They’ve put together around 30 acres so far, 15 of which are already in production.

92% Treixadura grapes, blended with Godello, Albariño and Loureiro grapes. Terraced vineyard of 10 ha, in granitic soils. Low-temp fermentation in stainless steel. 6 months on lees. 93 Decanter
