Costumbres Blanco

White Wine

Winery: Vinos en Voz Baja
Region: Rioja

Variety: 40% Viura, 30% Pasera, 20% Garnacha Roya, 10% Tempranillo blanco.

Production
Region Wine and the only white from the winery made with a mixture of all the vines of white varieties and Garnacha Roya(pink grape) from the farm. Viura, Pasera, and Garnacha Roya are the classic varieties of the region, adapted to dry summers and with the qualities to make Fine Rioja Whites Wines. Everything is mixed during the harvest and in the winery to make this unique white that represents a classic white from most Mediterranean Rioja. The grapes are pressed, the must after racking, ferments without temperature control, and are stored in small classic barrels (300 and 400 L) (mainly French origin Quercus petraea, special for long-aged white wines) until the next harvest. Bottled in August 2023.

Alcohol: 12.5 % alc. by Vol

Tasting Notes
The white wines grow over time with a unique style, which in this area of Rioja is expressed in a moderate acidity and elegance given by the good ripening of the grapes.

Tim Atkins
Juniper and wild herb aromas segue into a palate that’s lees’, textured, and unfiltered, with lots of brisk acidity and wax, pear, and citrus flavors.
