Barrio Paastores

Red Wine

Winery: Vinos en Voz Baja
Region: Rioja

Variety: 100% Garnacha

Production
Aldeanueva de Ebro is the reference wine-growing village in the eastern part of Rioja, and through the Classic Garnacha Vineyards that best represent the place, this is a typical village wine in a refined version of the wines that farmers always made.

Alcohol: 14% alc. by Vol

Tasting Notes: It is perfumed and floral with moderate alcohol and with a medium-bodied palate with very fine tannins and a dry, austere finish.

Tim Atkins:

"Carlos Mazo uses white grapes from all of his vineyard parcels to produce this cuvée of Viura with 30% Calagraño, 20% Garnacha Gris and 10% Tempranillo Blanco. Juniper and wild herb aromas segue into a palate that's leesy, textured, and unfiltered, with lots of brisk acidity and wax, pear, and citrus flavors. "

Score: 93 (Tim Atkins)
